Family Man Librarian: Dear Facebook: I quit

  • char · 4 months ago
I've repeated this a hundred times to friends and co-workers: if I didn't use a facebook status feed widget into my NetVibes portal, I'd rarely look at Facebook. From the portal I get a small picture of what friends are doing (I use it for twitter, too) and I can comment right from the widget. It isn't something I would log into otherwise on a regular basis.

I thought I'd "lost"you--just when I wanted to send belated birthday greetings! Good to know you made a conscious choice to move on.

    All the best,
    Susan

    Hi Susan (and also, Char),

Thanks for your comments, and sorry I didn't send a global message out
before quitting. (Actually I tried to do that and couldn't figure out how
to do it in Facebook.) Thank you Susan for your birthday wishes!

It may seem a bit strange that I did this but in addition to what I said
already in the post, I also have tired of wading through an increasing
amount of ancillary Facebook-y stuff. In other words, there was a lot of
noise in participating in Facebook and I got tired of that as well.

    Take care,

    Steve
